A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite.
Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone.

Help you do what? It's an access point.

it is an AP but one AP will be used as a card cause maybe later some people will conct to this Ap so it easier and they dont need cards and antennas cause this AP has a switch in it.

So i need something as net stumbker for checking signal to the Nod point.

Or am I really wrong in the whole thing??

"You're really wrong in the whole thing."

An access point is not a card, it cannot be put into a computer. Your access point will act as a base station and all computers connecting to it will need some sort of wireless card.

If none of this makes sense to you, ask your local computer geek what you need to setup a wireless network.

There has been a missunderstanding.

Ok.

In my street i have a LAN that is conected to an AP whos antenna is directed to another AP that is 30 meter high on a building and mine AP on which LAN is connected is on my chimni 15 m high in the air.

There are also 3 guys that have Wireless cards in their PC whos antennas also are directed to that AP 30 m high on the building.

That is a plan for makeing the WLAN in my neighborhood.

So I need some program for cheching canals and signal.

Is this good?

The three people using the cards in the PC may be able to use NetStumbler to check the signal levels. However it will depend on their wireless cards.

You may not need NetStumbler however. If you are just using this to optimize these three PCs. Most cards come with some software which will show signal strength. Since that software is designed for that card, it may be easier to use.
