Strange Sony Vaio display problem

Postby AlKlein » Fri Aug 29, 2003 4:03 pm

Nothing but kudos for netstumbler, but the display is weird.

It originally comes up with about 12 minutes marked out on a s/n graph. After the 12 minutes, it pops up a horizontal scroll bar. If I wait a few minutes, then try to scroll, to see the current signal, I get a solid green bar (with a solid red bottom where the noise is). The legend on the bottom is also wrong - small pieces of each date-time. It's almost as if the form wasn't being refreshed.

Mobility Radeon 7500
Happens at any screen resolution.

This is a known issue. It's not just the Sony, it happens with other displays. Due to the fact the most of us don't monitor a signal for that long, it isn't doesn't get much discussion.

Then I guess it's very low on the bug list, if it's made it to the list at all. (I couldn't find any discussion about it.)

And thanks for the fast reply.

You're welcome.

In the past two years (and 3 versions) it's been mentioned once that I recall, and that may have been in the original forums.

I guess I was just picking nits because most of what I write is commercial, and that kind of bug would be complained about early, often and long. Considering that most people probably use NS in wardriving situations, I guess it's not important.
