Installer won't extract files

Postby alecs4000 » Wed Aug 30, 2006 10:39 am

Hi all,

I just downloaded the ministumbler 0.4 and the installer can't extract files:

"Error opening file for writing: '\MiniStumbler\MiniStumblerSetup.exe'"

Tried on Win 2k and Win XP. Any suggestions? Can I just get a .zip file, perhaps?

Thanks,

-Josh

What device are you trying to install it on? While you are at it try searching the forums for your answer.

Well, the device I want to try first is an Axim X3 (I think) but I'm not even getting that far. I download a .exe which is the installer and runs on PC; it's this program that's giving me the error.

I've searched forums here and the web at large and found nothing apropos. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Nevermind.

You have to have activesync installed for the installer to work. :)

I was trying to install by beaming the file to the handheld. All working now.

And that's why I mentioned searching the forums. ;)
