Request: GPS port duplication and channel/band selection, multi-card support.

It would be great if NS could take the GPS data it was receiving and foreward it to another com port.

Also, I would like NS to support multiple devices.

Because I am using more than One device (An atheros A/B/G card, and an Orinoco classic), I would like to disable the 2.4GHZ band on the Atheros card in NS, so the Atheros card can scan the 5 GHZ channels quicker.

You can run more than one instance of NS. I run with a usb and another with pcmcia. Then I use gpsgate to provide gps data to both.

My point exactly, It sould be pretty easy to make it support multiple devices.

For some reason, when ever something should be really easy to fix or setup, it takes forever to make work?

Seems you'd want to keep the data in seperate files. Plus you don't want one device slowing down the other.

Oh man.. This one I'm going to rub in.. And milk for all it is worth... LMAO :D

Please tell me why you would like the Netstumbler Forums to support GPS's ? And do the Netstumbler forums have problems when you access it with either the Atheros card or the ORiNOCO Classic card ?

/Points finger to the Forum Description, and waits for K.I.F's request to have it moved to the right forum :P

No need for that

It clearly states:

I think you misunderstood my request:
I would like to see a new version of NetStumbler that supports multiple cards and can output GPS data to another com port hosted on http://www.netstumbler.com
