NetStumbler v.0.4 works on:

System: Averatec 3225HS notebook w/ built-in 802.11g
Wireless: Broadcom BCM4306/BCM2050 chipset

FYI, v.0.3.22 didn't work on the above machine.

SMC USB SMC2664W works +++

Postby 49thnorth » Mon Apr 26, 2004 8:04 am

Payed $20 for it and it comes with a CLIP that is perfect for clipping on a laptop screen or better yet your car window. It goes with out saying you can position it for the best reception. Tested using the standard driver that shipped with it.

THANKS!!!

0.3.30 sometimes fell over on my ASUS WL-100g (Broadcom BCM94306 chip), but 0.4 is steady as a rock !!

My Orinoco Gold seems to work 10 times better with the new release. I have an external antenna and I seem to get better range. I was a good two blocks away and picked up my own AP. Before I had to be under a block.

USR 2210 works great! For the first time.

Not seeing the 'noise' either.

Yay Averatec, I love mine to death (but its the version before built in wifi) . . . you must have the 3200 . . . I'll prob get that if my 3120 ever dies. These laptops kick ass . . .
