as i know about the senao card ,on connecter is for receive and transmit simultanusly, the other is just for receive.
so if u connect just one antenna on the wrong side ,the card cannot work well!

I have a problem 2. whenever i do make (after configure) for installing airpwn 1.3, I get this:

airpwn-1.3 # make
blah blah stuff

/rot/Desktop/airpwn-1.3/keygen.c:69: undefined reference to `MD5_Init'
keygen.o(.text+0x9c):/root/Desktop/airpwn-1.3/keygen.c:70: undefined reference to `MD5_Update'
keygen.o(.text+0xa5):/root/Desktop/airpwn-1.3/keygen.c:71: undefined reference to `MD5_Final'
collect2: Id returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [wep_keygen] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/Desktop/airpwn-1.3'
make: *** [all] Error 2

i have installed lorcon, libpcap, and the other files in the readme. I will work without encryption, but once I ut encryption back on my ap (key index 4), it says its decrypted it and is injecting a packet back, but i dont see the effect( dog picture, or whatever i choose).

anyone know a remedy? if not can someone make a .mo of it for me ? =)

Help Now im gettin peed off

Postby mitchell » Sun Sep 10, 2006 4:09 pm

Hi Guys

Ok let me begin at the beginnin.

Ive got a compaq presario r4000, and a number of pcmcia wifi cards, i got annoyed at the amount of mc connectors ive bought so i thought of this idea.

1. use the bromcom (ahhhhhhh) internal wifi card and redirect the antenna to a external connection built into the laptop.

2. so i redirected the MAIN u f connector from the bromcom internal card, drilled a hole in the laptop and inserted a antenna connector.

3. everything looks great, but when i connect a external ant or a yagi no diffrence at all in signal,

Do i have to connect the MAIN and AUX to the new connector

So whats the go on this thread? Anyone figured it out?

I recentely got a soldering expertise of a friend to solder some coax onto my wifi card and the wifi card still works but i havent finished the rest of my cantenna so I don't know entirely if it works or not.

Umm but question, he soldered it on the antenna line were there was no pigtail, but he only soldered to two of the ground pads and the coax straight onto the board, is that ok for cantenna stuff?

im assuming you dont need all 4 ground pads soldered to as its probably only theyre incase you want to solder on your own pigtail connector, its easier to solder to 4 pads instead of two for something like that lol...

But yeah... Any info about this would be awesome, ill include a photo soon hopefully of what I've done :)

Did my post get deleted? :( (I swear I posted it, i had the #37 for my question)

anyway! was wondering if you had completed this or not? and just wondering what side you soldered it on.

I did it on the other side opposite to the pigtail but only soldered to two of the ground points, ive got a fully working cantenna (granted it has different mounting things to the can but im assuming it should be ok) ermm but yeah should that make a difference at all?

neeeeeeeeed some response cause like no has said or knows a thing on the world wide intarweb :(

Netstumbler and IE

Postby Philip_London » Thu Sep 14, 2006 1:29 am

So ive been trying to test some wireless access points at work i boot up netstumbler to see if everythings ok and im looking at the graph for the access point and every so often the graph drops to 0 for about a second and then goes back up to where it is before this happens even when the access point and laptop are next to each other. I repeated this on in an enviroment where there was only one access point and it happened again it appeared to happen if you opened internet explorer is there a known issue with this or is it my laptop

thanks

Is this crad gone work?

Postby nikepike » Fri Sep 15, 2006 12:31 am

HI!

my question is, will this wirless network card run in windows, with the wildpack drivers for the monitor mode? http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=306
wildpackets: http://www.wildpackets.com/support/product_support/airopeek/hardware

do you know a wireless network card, which is not so expenisve, but still good?

but it must work with these monir mode drivers, and with netstubler, airsnort, and aircrack in windows xp!

ps: does any card with an atheros based chip work with the wildpackets drivers i linked to?

Padawan, you need to search the forums and use google. Hell, you could even use the airsnort/aircrack forums! These questions have been answered 10,000 times a day, for the last 10 years, so there is plenty to read. (Even though the answer is pretty much the same)

Hint: Go do some of your own reading! Here's a freebie: If you want a card that will work 100% with netstumbler, get an Orinoco Classic.
