PCI Adapter and Airsnort?

PCI Adapter and Airsnort?

Postby onyx00 » Wed Feb 18, 2004 10:01 pm

Does anyone know if any of the PCI adapters will work with airsnort.

More specifically, I have an Orinoco Gold Classic, and want to use it in a desktop PC with Airsnort (booting off of Knoppix STD at least until I get time to set up a fill time system).

Do the PCI adapters need some type of driver, or do I have no worries? Should the Knoppix boot CD find the Orinoco in the PCI adapter at boot up?

Thanks! :-)

Damn, did you even attempt a search? Go ahead and give it a try. Up near the top right of your screen.

Hint... "PCI adapters"

Woah guys, you all need to calm down.

Yes, I did a search and nothing about Linux and Airsnort was mentioned.

If you look at the search results posted it all talks about PCI adapters in Windows and them being "detected" by windows and installing drivers etc.

This is not really and option with the Knoppix CD. I just wasn't sure about driver support / Linux support for PCI adapters for the PCMCIA cards.

It'd be nice if you instead of saying use the search function you look at the results it provides first.

And F*ck the mod. who moved my thread and didn't say anything.

Oh fuck, here we go again.

Classic symptoms of a fucktard:

1: I don't want to search. Search for me, it's your job.

2: I searched and didn't find anything. You expect me to read all that shit?

3: You guys are all assholes for not doing my reasearch FOR me.

4: I am appalled at the language and insults that have been thrown at me, FUCKERS!!

5: The mod has a small penis, no life, and is a coward for not coming to my house so I can kick his ass.

6: Fuck you all I'm leaving and never coming back!

7: audit is a douchebag. (notice the audit insults come after proclaiming they are leaving).

8: BANNED!

So listen up assclown, I'll say this nice and SLOW for you.
