Now I'm tempted to head into DC to one of my favorite BBQ places.

Do they deliver? We could always phone in an order for ShmooCon.
How far is it from the hotel anyway? The same ol' places get a little boring.

I don't think they deliver. However with a vehicle it's not too far--on Wisconsin Avenue in Glover Park. It's a little over a mile driving distance--on the other side of the Naval Observatory.

Should I bring the Ford Exploder down this year so we have lots of room for road trips?

Most definitely. BTW, Heidi says they have negotiated some discounts on parking. How much you want to bet we have to ask for it at the front desk or they will charge us the full rate.

It would be nice if the rooms didn't have huge patches of mold on the walls. Oh wait, different con, different city, different hotel...

My room had hot water. Probably won't be staying in the Con hotel this year. Too damn expensive.

I talked to Xor and we hooked him up. Xor did all the leg work. Xor: you may want to request a cot for Barry now rather then later and then ask again when you check-in. Otherwise we'll have to employ our skills to locate one.

Most hotels have supply rooms on each floor, or every other floor with cots in them. They're seldom locked, and if they are, they're normally easily picked.

Yep, They are typically located in a corner or in the center of the building where the service elevator is. You'll also find some very interesting grafitti from the employees in this area. As well as information to the employees about upcoming events and the menu in the staff cafeteria.
