Customers cannot resell DSL Internet Access Service, without a legal and written agency agreement with Frontier. Customers may not retransmit DSL Internet Access Service or make the Service available to anyone outside the premises (i.e., wi-fi or other methods of networking). You may not use DSL Service to host any type of commercial server.

You acknowledge that the right to the use of, and any benefits that may be derived from, the Access Service is personal to you and is being provided by RCN as partial consideration of your agreement to pay the charges applicable to your account. You agree not to connect the Access Service or allow the Access Service to be connected by others to any other computers, located either on or outside your premises, than are reflected on your Access Service account with RCN. The Access Service may not be used to facilitate or operate as an Internet Service Provider, “Wi-Fi” network or “hot-spot”, and you further agree not to distribute, resell, share or otherwise allow others to utilize the Access Service, either free of charge or for consideration. You acknowledge that any unauthorized receipt of the Access Service constitutes theft of service, which is a violation of Federal law and can result in both civil and criminal penalties. RCN will prosecute violations to the fullest extent of the law.

11. One Account, One Connection:

You may use your ACS Internet account to make only one connection at any given time, unless you have specifically purchased an account that is, in ACS Internet's sole opinion, suitable for multiple user applications. Multiple, simultaneous connections from an ACS Internet account, except as noted, are prohibited. This means that your ACS Internet account may only be dialed into one modem in ACS Internet's modem pool or a single DSL connection may be active per account, at any given time. Any dialup or DSL account found connected to two or more ACS Internet modems or other connection devices at the same time may be suspended immediately.

The residential Internet Services are designed for connection to a single PC. If you connect more than one PC at any one time to the Internet Services you agree that this shall be entirely at your own risk. Technical support shall remain limited to your Internet connection only. You must not connect more than three (3) PCs to the Internet Services at any one time.

You are permitted to use routers, and the connection of a dedicated hardware router or firewall shall not be considered a PC for the purposes of this section.

In connecting to the Internet Services, you must only use a PC you own or lease. UNAUTHORIZED SHARING

You agree not to allow others to use any of the services provided including, but not limited to, sharing your account user name and password, dial-up access, or broadband access via any type of networking device (router, gateway, wireless access point, etc.). You may at your own risk and responsibility permit other members of your household to access the services and utilize some networking devices approved by the provider for use within your household only. You as the account holder shall ensure that other such users are aware of and comply with these terms of use, and you agree to be held responsible for any activity or use of the services on that account, whether or not authorized by you.


COMMERCIAL USE

Re-selling ISP's services or offering use of ISP's services for adding value to a commercial entity without ISP's authorization is prohibited. ISP's services are designed for the account holder's use of the Internet and may not be used for commercial purposes without the ISP's explicit consent. You also agree not to use ISP's services for operation as an Internet service provider, or for any other business enterprise including, without limitation, IP address translation or similar facilities intended to provide access, operating or allowing others to operate servers of any type, or any other device, equipment and/or software providing server-like functionality in connection with ISP's services, unless expressly authorized.

ADMINISTRATIVE DISCRECTION
ISP administrators, staff, and executives have sole and final discretion over all aspects of service, the network, and this AUP. ISP reserves the right to terminate any account or service without cause or prior notice.

USER RESPONSIBLITY
Users need to be aware that they do not operate in a vacuum. Safe practices need to be taken by the users to protect themselves and others.

You may not run a server in connection with the SusCom residential service, nor may you provide network services to others via the SusCom residential service. The SusCom residential service includes personal Webspace accounts for publishing personal Web pages. (a) Run any type of server on the system. This includes but is not limited to FTP, IRC, SMTP, POP, HTTP, SOCKS, SQUID, DNS or any multi-user forums;

(b) Register or point a domain, sub-domain, or hostname to any Optimum Online IP address. Moreover, users may not have traffic redirected to The Service;

(c) Resell, share, or otherwise distribute the Service or any portion thereof to any third party without the written consent of Cablevision. For example, Subscriber may not provide Internet access to others through a dial up connection, wireless access or host shell accounts over the Internet, provide e-mail or news service, or send a news feed.

(d) copy, distribute or sublicense any software provided by Cablevision, except that Subscriber may make one copy of each software program for back-up or archival purposes only;

(e) FTP/HTTP. Subscriber should also be aware that when using the Computer to access files through means such as FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) Subscriber may open access to Subscriber's computer to other Optimum Online users and Internet users. If Subscriber chooses to make use of such applications for file retrieval, Subscriber should take the appropriate security measures.

[color="Red"]The active session may be shared to connect multiple computers/devices within a single home or office location to your modem and/or router to access the Service (including the establishment of a wireless fidelity (“WiFi”) hotspot), but the Service may only be used at the single home or office location for which Service is provisioned by Qwest. You may not use aWiFi hotspot in violation of this Agreement or in a way that circumvents Qwest’s ability to provide Service to another customer (e.g., you cannot use a WiFi hotspot to provide Service outside your single home or office location).[/color] You may not use more than one IP address for each log on session unless an advanced service allocating you more than one IP address has been purchased. Service may only be used in the U.S. Service may be used to host a server, personal or commercial, as long as such server is used pursuant to the terms and conditions of this Agreement applicable to Service and not for any malicious purposes. Malicious purposes include without limitation Spam, viruses, worms, Trojans, etc. Qwest may restrict your use of or interrupt the Service without notice for: (i) maintenance activities; (ii) equipment, network, or facility upgrades or modifications; and (iii) to ensure the provision of acceptable service levels to all Qwest customers. Qwest is not responsible or liable for any Service deficiencies or interruptions caused by such events.

(b) No Resale, Distribution, Transfer, or Assignment. You agree not to resell or distribute, transfer or assign this Agreement and/or the Service via any means including but not limited to wireless technology, except with Qwest’s prior consent and according to Qwest’s policies and procedures; provided that you may establish a WiFi hotspot as provided above. This Agreement is intended solely for you and it will not benefit or be enforceable by any other person or entity. Qwest may assign this Agreement and your rights and obligations under this Agreement, in whole or in part, at any time without notice to you and you agree to make all subsequent payments as directed. If we do that, we have no further obligations to you.
