Thanks to all of you who have supported us in any way, either emails, care packages or just a kind word. It was all very much appreciated and helped to make a lengthy deployment go by much faster!

Please keep bobfunland and others in your prayers that they too may come home safely.
Great news, Mike!

When I was your age, television was called books. And this is a special book. It was the book my father used to read to me when I was sick, and I used to read it to your father. And today, I'm gonna read it to you.

Unless I drive to my mom's house in Georgia, I'll never get close to you guys, but it is Christmas, and there's always a bunch of new access points showing up.

I recently went on a pass to Qatar. For those of you planning a trip there soon, you should include the pearl sculpture in Doha on your itinerary.

Are they planning on letting you come home anytime soon?

I understand now why everyone shoots at humvees. The last time someone tagged me from behind, he was looking at the wrong end of a .45 in about 3.5 seconds.

It does sort of remind me of driving in Tallahassee traffic.

Sure that's Baghdad? Looks more like LA.

Definitely Baghdad. Although the military does not recommend using the Humvee like that.

Somebody is saying that it's Mosul if you read down in the comments.

And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know.""

A buddy of mine got back a few months ago, he still has to let his wife drive. He said that if they stayed with traffic they kept getting hummers blown out from under them. He's down in the lower 48 at Warrant school, then he gets to go back for another year.
