Hmm, I'm in town for a few more hours, then flying out. I searched the board for good places to stumble, and saw Sorrento Valley Rd, so I decided to try it.
I started at 805, went up Sorrento Valley to Camino Ruiz (hitting most of the residential areas), down to Mira Mesa, and back to 805. I found only 45 AP's. Is there a better location to stumble?

:( My flight leaves at 8...

You went up way too far (too late now.) You should have gone across Scranton and around there, though it's been covered pretty well. What kind of antenna were you trying with?

Thanks for the reply. I'm using a Dell Latitude, with an Orinoco Silver and a 5dbi mag-mount from Fab-Corp. I'll have to try the Scranton run next time I'm in town.

I actually decided not to make another run around the city. I still had about 4 hours to kill before my flight, so I figured: what the hell - go to Mexico. I ended up in Tijuana. I cut it close getting back to the airport, but it was worth it.
