...yep, its not 1996 anymore. Thanks for gen'ing those maps!

4.gif is particularly interesting. There was a lot of traffic in that area as opposed to others...from previous experiments, many people seemed to have their AP's off along Lick Mill Rd., usually a goldmine. But, ...its sunday and mothers day to boot, of course, I'm assuming that most knuckleheads dont think to turn their AP's off at bedtime much less heading off to church or mother's place.... There is a surprising number of unsecured WLANS, default SSID's, and some very interesting multicast traffic I've been seeing. Seems like something strange is going on around Hope Dr. (this is Santa Clara, CA btw)

Shall I make a thumbnailed map of the area? Anyone interested?
Anyone else wanna wardrive their way to work?
We could split this place up quick.

I have server space and tier-1 bandwidth.

Sorry about that . . . they were really just for the one guy, i should have just put the links . . .

By the way, the files i posted were compressed in photoshop to around 70 kb, the originals were 3 meg each so I did try to make them a bit smaller.

netdisciple, if you want the originals let me know . . . laterz

its seems sort of trivial when you think about it but I enjoy finding the ones that make me laugh. I'm sure this will wear off....

Not the point. Do that kind of thing again, and the thread disappears.

You're not the one who's PM mailbox fills up with people demanding you be banned for pulling this kind of BS.

Many people still have low speed connections.

Postby ctamez » Tue May 25, 2004 1:59 am

Hey Guys,

I'm from the Dinuba area which is about 20 min from Visalia and 40 min from Fresno. I have an ipaq setup, garmin gps, omni ant., and a laptop. Shoot me an email at ctamez2002@yahoo.com . We can set up a wardriving trip.

I used to live in Avenal years ago, I can imagine it is still the same dust bowl I left, with one big prison and a circle K. Of course Colinga was only marginally better, but only because of it's size.
