With the card installed NS see's it but says there are no AP's. I read the README, but not close enough I guess. I've also been reading the threads, but only by the subject that may have something to do with what I'm looking for ... or that interest me ;)

Colorado?

Postby Isenguard » Mon Sep 09, 2002 10:17 am

I have been out for the past 3 days looking around the Colorado (Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Rock Creek, Westminster, Longmont, Erie, Broomfield) area found allot of very unsecured networks. I saw some other people from around here on some posts, wanted to know how much people have mapped. I found a gps so I could map for my own use and wanted to see if I could help complete a Colorado state wide map or something.

I'm near you ... I've tried to find the time, but the time that I have had to drive I couldn't find anything. Everything looks like it's configured, but haven't been outside Longmont to find any AP's. Been reading a lot mainly ... kinda a waste of time to go out and search if I don't know my setup is working properly! :) Can you give me any local information to lead me to an AP to test my setup?

At least someone is local. I thought maybe I was the only one on this edge of town. I don't have a GPS yet because I don't have the $$$$.

Hey guys, here is current mapping of AP's for Colorado.

http://www.wardriving.info/live/modules.php?set_albumName=20020811masterlist&id=20020811_Colorado&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

If you would like to share your data, please send it to me Thewatcher@wardriving.info or blackwave@hushmail.com so we can include your data to the Masterfile of AP.

Have fun.

Dude, I have 30+ AP's in Niwot, CO alone and I haven't even drove the whole thing yet. I have 50+ with Longmont and Niwot, and haven't even drove all over Longmont yet. I just don't have a GPS. Bought one a few days ago, but didn't have any software to map the AP's.

Denver CO Drivers and Chalkers Unite!!!

Postby ch40n1k » Wed Sep 25, 2002 4:30 pm

Sup Ya'll?!?!
Recently started stumbling in Denver. A buddy of mine and myself have been tearing the streets of Denver apart!
Our manager gets pissed off during meetings, because while she yaps, we are busy working the WiFi networks in surrounding buildings on our laptops!

If anyone is interested in some serious chalking in downtown Denver, hit me up. I'd be happy to point you in the direction of the dozens of AP's we've stumbled across, and chalked, in Downtown and surrounding areas.

My rig is simple and cheap. But in an area infested with unprotected AP's ... I am having tons of fun!

In fact, I recently discovered an AP in my Apartment complex. Can connect comfortably from bed ... WOOT!

Peace,

If you stumble through Boulder and find an SSID named NastyNikki, stop in, you'll get lucky!

Done any stumbling out in west Denver? I've got a friend up in Genesee that can't get cable or DSL who is interested in this. I'm going to take a trip up there in about a month and I was curious what I might find.
