Based in dublin, but slowly making my way around the rest of the country.

Not too surprised by what I have found so far, only 19.05%
of Dublin APs use Wep

here i´m back again.

are there no public wlans in dublin. ok i looked only in a very very smal area but i wasn´t able to get into a wlan in dublin.

i checked every internet cafe in the o´conell street and some streets in and around it including the temple bar area.

but maybe someone found me ssid: sendmeamail... you know the rest if you found me ;-)

AssetBurned, I've only found 2 AP have an SSID of "public", both of which had restricted access.

Also O'Connell St is not the best area for WLANs

You could try http://www.irishwan.org/ for more info or public access WLANs

Waterford Corporation is wide open, dhcp and all.... Couldn't find anything in Wexford, Enniscorthy, parts of Gorey or Bunclody; wexford seems to be lacking 802.11b other than my irishwan nodes.
