I've got some 72 pin Simms and a few P-133's if that will help. Maby if you are real nice I'll toss in a Cyrix 233.

Ooof. That stings.
A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite.
Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone.

Sure do, the state game area is full of good opportunities, some of them might shoot back. (Makes it more of a challange) :D

I just hang out in my back yard and wait for them to stroll in.

Came through Oxford just an hour ago, Auburn Hills to Lapeer, 84 APs on this run, 44 open on this run.

OUCH!

The box is back up better and stronger then ever. We did need to use a backup from earlier due because the current ones were damaged on the bad drive so you may need to register again.

damn, i feel so disconnected from the rest of michigan. I live in petoskey (northwestern corner of the lower peninsula). I might go after Mr. Widget's AP, if his message wasn't posted 02-27-2002.

Oh well, if any of you are in petoskey (and if I ever get my AP working again) try to find Freeweb+)( it'll be on a side street by the highschool/middle school area. If you find it, i'll give you a pat on the back because it's such a weak signal (but hopefully it'll get stronger when i get the money for a 1W booster and 17dbi omni, or mabye a BiQuad)

1 watt booster + 17 db antenna = 50 watts = heavy fine from fcc and i know audit will call them

also = brain damage, you appear to already have contracted since u should know that anything over 4 watts is illegal immoral and very fattening...not to mention dangerous

Actually, if one watt=30db, it only adds up to 47, and not 47watts, but 47db....but close enough.

ok, so mabye i'll be a little cheaper and only get a half a watt, and an 8db omni. (by half a watt, i'm also taking into account the 15-19db (32-80mw) that my AP puts out)
That's .5watt=27db + 8db omni = 35db, just to be on the safe side, and that's before taking into account cable losses.

(figures taken from http://shoveler.ipl31.net/pipermail/nycw-cloud/2003-March/000010.html but they didn't add up to me, so I lowered them, also http://www.lancercomm.com.tw/faq/db_to_watt_conversion_table.htm for the watt-db conversions)

and before i get flamed for ad-hoc math, i'm still just learning about antenna basics (if anyone has any good websites on this, post a link)
Anyway, i dont have anywhere near the cash though (most of my income goes into my car right now)

with boosters u never count what goes in cuz it doesnt matter
all that will come out is what the booster can do unless it specifies otherwise
