Postby mbstone99 » Thu Nov 06, 2003 10:02 pm

Hey sypd4r you wouldn't happen to know if McMaster U has any AP's? I was planning on making a run around the uni next time I am up there to see what I get.

I'm over here in the Soo, so if either of you are going to be in the neighbourhood lemme know, my buddy and I have been workin on trying to get a bit of a drive out, we've done some on our own but nothing real organized, we're working on mapping out the city. I'd like to find some stuff in the down town area so I can hop on with my lappy whilst chilling in the comfort of the mall :P

Hey. I'm in Smiths Falls. Just 45 min from Ottawa. The town is about 10,000 people and the number of AP's here is pretty wild. I don't have an external antenna yet or a GPS so I'm not tooo usefull yet ;) . It's amazeing to see buisness after buisness with open AP's... let alone a government site with a wide open AP!! I'm almost considering contacting several buisnesses and suggesting say.... exchange my survices for a minimal fee :D . But ya, get in touch with me and we'll exchange some information. I'm pretty new to the scene but i guarentee I've got some interesting toys :D

I do have ICQ... but I'm on MSN more often then not.

I'm in Smiths Falls.. 45 min south of Ottawa. There's a number of AP's here.. but all I can do is remember where they are for now.. I don't have a GPS :( . Suppose you don't know of a place around here where you can get one?

side note... my car is sadly acting up right now... so I'm not doing much driveing. Mostly just reading information.

Get in touch and we'll try and get something going.

I'm in Hamilton, new to wifi and not certain of all the jargon. However, I use a wifi finder in/around Hamilton [and Burlington, and Oakville].

I've got my Stumbles online... along with the GPS tracks of Toronto

The site is a little rough at the moment... when I get some time I will fix it up ... take a look anyway :D

Anybody from the Ottawa region?

Postby Analog » Sun Jan 30, 2005 8:57 pm

I've looked around the site, but I don't seem to find anybody from around here. I KNOW there's stumblers around. I was talking to a guy I used to work with that did all the time. He's moved away so there's nobody to talk and share info with now. Anybody out there?
