Hello - Sut mae!
and Welcome - Croeso,

Stumbling through the stunning mountains,
Where cables - none, so wireless certain.

Technology peeps and peers through valleys,
Bleating installation woes and scareys.

If only the installers had read their books,
Their networks would not be so full of hooks.

On a serious note - if your net is leaking,
Give us a ring and we'll do your tweaking.

active in the capital - but not from there - have had two requests from network managers to come and test their systems.

Whilst in the area - couldn't help but see them bleating out.

Have map, gps and nice data collated.

The blame isn't on the technology of 802.11b - its to do with the usual misgivings of intallation / administration of companies whom don't f'in well know how test something before they sell it and can't be bothered to read configuration manuals.

What's it written in ?

Postby Guest » Wed Feb 20, 2002 3:02 am

(yet another Brit here)

Marius, what did you write NetStumbler in?

I would guess C++ and that you used the free Embedded C++ from M$ to do miniStumbler,,,

Am i in the ballpark ?

If i wanted to do stuff in my fave language PowerBASIC where could i get some information on how to program the PCMCIA wireless LAN cards ?

Cheers and keep up the good work
