[quote="icefreez"]Well tlouden was trying to stay connected to an SSID while scanning though a script. I thought I would let him know a possible alternative.

So meeeh to you ]

An alt that in most cases does not work. NS is NOT meant to be used while connected to a network. If it works for you consider yourself lucky. Also if you understood what the "reconfigure card opion (option)" does you would know that what you did would be mostly useless in a real scanning scenario. Also re-read tlouden's first post! He wants to connect to an AP automatically using a safe to connect list.

Hi all.

New to NS so have been reading and playing.

We have NS running under XP (my mates comp so will check on this fact) with sp2. He had his lappy set up for DHCP etc to plug into his home network. All we did was install the card and ns and away went.

Found an AP and noticed the icon in the task bar indicating it was trying to obtain an IP. It did and in fact we could surf.... Not our intention but it did work....

As a side note: Disabled DHCP and networking etc...
