Trying to make a .txt file save script

Postby Telos » Fri Dec 09, 2005 6:42 am

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to make a script that will perform the autosave feature, but the saved file will be a text file. The only problem is that I have never written a script before and have no idea where to begin. I looked at the scripting guide but that didn't really help. Are there any step-by-step tutorials to scripting and how I might be able to perform this task?

Thanks

1. Determine what language you want to write the script in (perl, vb-script, ....

2. Enter the following into the google search page "[language of choice here] scripting".

2.a. [language of choice here] should be replaced with your selection from #1.

2.b. "" should not be included in your search.

3. Hit enter.

4. wait for results.

5. Visit some of the many wonderful links provided to find one that suits your needs.
