new pics of my dual cantenna mount!!

I made this all from PVC and pvc parts from a home depot.. (zip ties I had) including the pvc glue I spent about 10 bux

the cans are SNUG on the rack but no permenant.. also, once I procure that antenna contrentrator Parallax found we can mount it between the 2 cans and go at it full force.

Nice thing about this is I can have it mounted and unmounted in about 1 minute!

Just needs a Flux Capacitor and a Mr. Fusion.
A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite.
Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone.

heheh... well with those two cantenna's myself and Parallax (Team NetForce) raked in well over 1300 AP's in one nite of driving.. and we have tested this setup 4 nites and the average is about 1200-1400...

keeping this in mind it would not be too difficult to "comb" neighborhoods and get 80% coverage. Keep in mind that alot of neighborhoods are now "private" thus we cannot go in there, but we should be able to tag alot of our home city and its surrounding areas

Talk about over-analyzing the situation.

What card are you connecting that rig to. Very impressive indeed.

Orinoco Gold on an Ipaq model 3835 GPS unit is a Magellan Meridian I got just before they dis-continued this model in favor of the higher up models.. this one only has 2 megs memory but it has an SD card slot and I have added a 128 meg card in there for regional mapping

To give you an idea of the cost involved for that PVC rack, figure about 10-15 bux for the PVC, the end caps, the angle pieces and T-connectors, plus a can of PVC glue.

how did you connect both cans to the single port of the orinoco...I assume the T-connector came off the card?

Have you determined how many more APs you discover compared to using an omni? That would be cool if you had another computer hooked up to an omni and compared the results.

I know this.. when we tested 1 Ipaq using the internal onboard antenna on the gold card, and another using 1 cantenna aimed out the right side the cantenna got about 30 % more AP's
and this was tested by driving down a stretch of freeway, then returning back to sweep the other side.
