What kind of gain were you getting. Trevor Marshal's design works great, but the pictures were pretty bad. I like Marty Bug's design page better. Your dish looks like it's new, nice job!

re gain

Have not add chance to test it out to figure out the gain. I just know when I hooked it up i detected access points from my back deck, that I never new existed before. As for the head i did use marty' s design, mounted to a direct tv lnb(gutted) and then the whole works mounted on a express vu 24 inch dish.

I love biquads. They're so easy to make, provide a lot of gain, and they're really uber for illuminating a dish.

I have been meaning to whip up a dish set up like that.. have seen some out there and I must say.. it adds a dimension to detecting.

The only thing I see bad about it is the dish itself is kinda big to go stumbling with. Be hard to hide em.

now if you were setting up a peer to peer deal, these would probably give you a solid 1-2 miles LOS
