These APs are provided free-of-charge for customers of the establishments where they are housed. I'm an occasional customer of the establishments. I also have free access with my DSL and PAYGo with t-mo.

There's also a couple of regular spots that I know work well when I'm out and about.

Please keep in mind the fact that I use the rig for lots of things besides Wardriving. The primary use for the onboard computer is navigation and APRS (see http://www.aprs.org)

I don't think it's physically possible to fit any more electronics in that beast!

Thats the way it should be. Well done.

G8t and Random hot chick exchange glances at a bar. G8t casually walks over to her grabbing two Guinness from a waiter going in the opposite direction.
Random hot chick see's G8t's hair coming before she sees him.

G8t: Hey I'm G8t.

Random hot chick: What's up handsome. I like your hair....

G8t: (WACK!)

G8t: Wait what did you say... ah fuck it I didn't want to know your name anyway.

Treat your gun like your genitals, only whip it out when it's absolutely necessary.

I almost was going to ask you if you were drunk. Then Google told me this.

I guess without much of an explanation, it's reasonable you might think that!

Throw a rock in any direction in here and you'll hit a Ham. At least 10 of the regulars and semi-regulars here are amateurs.

Or you could have queried his call letters at arrl.org,
which reveals the person's real name and address, for what it's worth.

As does the FCC Call Sign search engine.

True, but I didn't know what he was talking about at first. So I asked Google, and then everything made sense. I've had very little experience with Amateurs so I didn't catch the call sign. For some reason I thought they were always 5 or more characters long.
