WiFi Security

What do you think about a new forum in the "WiFi Forums" called "WiFi Security"?

I was just working on a rant that would fit well in that category, but I'll post it in News in the interim.

I dunno. Just my .02 USD, but I thought the general theme to this forum, other than NS, is pretty much wireless security; or at least that's what it seems to have evolved into. You know, in a roundabout kinda way.

Yes I agree. But it was this misplaced post that prompted me to ask for a named forum. Of course having a specific forum does not mean the misplaced posts will stop (as we have seen already). But at least there will be a point of focus for specific security related topics. Of course if I wanted to locate security related stuff I could always do a search. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts, that's what I was looking for!

Unfortunately new members hardly ever read the rules.

The main reason I visit these forums each day is to learn about security. I have learned more in the last 2 days about wireless security from these forums than I had in 2 years before I started reading these forums.

But, just to be a main in the @**
A security forum would help organize things, but how many more forums are we going to add. These are the NetStumbler forums. A lot of the information here has very little relation to Netstumbler.

Okay, I see where you're coming from on this. Sounds logical to me. Why not post a vote to see where the rest of the forum folks stand?

KIF, I agree, but if some of the newer members come on here looking for security-related issues, as wrzwaldo said, it would give them more of a focus.

Dammit, I seem to be waffling on the subject.
