kismet vs netstumbler

Wow. I am downloading the Red Hat iso right now. I was thinking about installing linux on my laptop again, and this was the motovation that I needed.

Thanks and cool show. I am going to watch the rest of them now.

don't get redhat! get debian. debian packages make your life EASY!!

apt-get install kismet

and it works!

I forgot about debian. That's what I used to have before I installed FreeBSD. It's all slowly comming back.

how does debian fare in laptop compatibility? Esp the IBM thinkpad series?

I have it installed on a Toshiba 205cds (100 mhz) and it works fine, everything worked perfectly out of the box except sound. The thing that's nice is it has a minimal install, so you don't get alot of junk.
