Problem with Comcast Wireless Card

Problem with Comcast Wireless Card

Postby jprb85 » Wed May 09, 2007 8:20 pm

I am having big problems with my wireless card. I have a Comcast USB Adapter which I use as my wireless card for my Windows computer. I cannot get my Ubuntu Linux computer to even detect the card. I know that there is probably a driver issue, but cannot figure it out. When I type lspci I get nothing related to network showing up. I would greatly appreciate if you could walk me through the steps so that I can set up my wireless internet finally. I have listed some important information below that you might find useful about the card. Thank you.

The official name of the card is wireless usb adapter. I am now listing some important information about it

The MA111 is a Netgear card, did you bother to check with Netgear or Comcast as to why this POS doesn't work in Ubuntu?
Treat your gun like your genitals, only whip it out when it's absolutely necessary.
