Working aireplay 2.41 madwifi-ng

Postby init_null » Wed Feb 15, 2006 8:49 am

Here's how to get that working :

1 - Download latest madwifi-ng cvs
(Do not patch!, it will, for the moment cause some speed issue when injecting but
they are working on a way to set rate speed at execution)
2- Apply the patch that comes with this post.
(Wont work anymore with madwifi-old, i was too lazy)

Enjoy.

Already received some questions, heh.

Just a little precision, the new drivers are not really injection friendly
so if you are to use fake auth, First fake auth, stop it, and launch replay attack, the two seems to fail when working at the same time.

I followed the instructions and it seems to be doing something because turned on Ethereal and I do see some additional packets however the majority of them are "Malformed packets" that when I inspect the packet content is the exact packet sending out by "aireplay".

Do these packets actually being sent out? Is this "malformed packet" is the problem of "aireplay" not sending the correct packet format to the driver, or driver not sending out or Ethereal not displaying correctly?

Thanks,
hx

There aren't any stupid questions, just stupid people asking them.

Thank you I'll try to see if I can find the info there. I understand that some questions are stupid to those who has been running linux or some time, but I am always amazed how rude so many people are when a novice ask for help. But you answer was a good one, it points me to where I can learn the things I am asking.
