Getting banned from netstumbler.org because you're a dumb ignorant fuck that has no idea what he is doing is illegal, and then tries to justify himself by calling someone that's pointing out the facts a jackass........

Starting to get old, but but when you're gone. PRICELESS!

Thinkpad 600E
Orinoco Gold Classic
5.5 dbi antenna w/ 6 foot cable
Sapphire GPS receiver NS 0.4.0

One thing I want to do is hook up more then one antenna to the one connector on the card. Anyone know if splitting the connector is possible?

HP Pavilion zt1130 laptop
1.13 GHz Celeron
256 MB SDRAM
20 GB HDD
Windows XP Home w/ SP2

ORiNOCO Gold Classic (using built-in antenna until I get an external)

I used to use a Linksys WPC11 PCMCIA 802.11b wireless card but now that I have the ORiNOCO, I'm finding more APs. I'm assuming the built-in antenna on the ORiNOCO is better than the built-in antenna on the Linksys.

When you get the external antenna for it (a cantenna maybe?) you will see ALOT more AP's I did a test on a stretch of freeway by my house, drove it one way and back with internal, then same with an external cantenna I built.. noticed about a 30% increase in AP's and this was at 70 mph.

Which way do you point the cantenna?

When I get an external, I'd rather have an omni instead of having to worry about only picking up APs in whatever direction the cantenna (or any other directional antenna) is pointed in. I will, though, still built a cantenna out of either a pringles can, coffee can, or maybe some PVC pipe.

I have made a couple of these with good results (without the funnel addon).

normally out the passenger side.. I have a dual cantenna rig that I use when I go out with a wardriving buddy.. we run dual GPS's, dual Ipaqs etc.. he does one side of the street, then I do the other.. we combine the maps..

I am planning on getting the 2 to 1 antenna device from Fabcorp.
