And not one necessarily into Amature Radio. There are many HAM's on the forum.

Generally, four letter callsigns are reserved for Amateur Extra Class operators. Others are five or even six.

On the subject of Amateur radios, I see a lot of vehicles come through the dealership with Icom radios installed. Curios I did a search a while back and found the Icom IC-7800. Ever since then I have had a growing interest in Amateur radio, but saving for school has kept it to a dull roar.

EDIT: Who wouldn't be interested with buttons like those!

Only hearsay, and I was cleared of the bribery charges, when congress investigated it.

This is the way it used to be, yes. However, the FCC tweaked things a while back such that you can get darn near anything now, up to a maximum of six characters (though any hamateur callsign has to contain not more nor less than one number).

Actually, KC7GR is not my first call. For 20+ years, I was WD6EOS (probably been reassigned by now). I got my 2x2 call as a 'vanity' thing when I passed the exam for my Amateur Extra class license.

Keep the peace(es).

Thats the way it should be. Well done.

You're absolutely correct! ;-) Heck, I had trouble fitting the PA amp in when I got hold of it...

Keep the peace(es).

As far as I know, the 1x2 and 2x1 callsigns are still reserved for Amateur Extra Class. We're special. :D

Sorry, but No. It is in dutch only...

You might try this one: http://new.remote-exploit.org/index.php/Auditor_main

Also works great (with my Senao card) and has a Graphic User Interface (KDE)

Words to that effect. ;)

I'm gonna stay as a grandfathered Advanced, don't wanna be mistaken for a 5WPM Extra.
