Isn't there a setting in the kismet.conf for file size?

The farther I go with this, I'm thinking it makes more sense to use 4 or 6 mini-pci cards rather than 8 and modify the source channels settings for each based on the antenna connections. This takes me away from one card for each channel but it'll still have better performance than one or two cards.

There is one here that uses rp-tnc for the connectors

I use it on my 8125 with a VPN client to manage our servers in a pinch. It's not too bad.

You're good! I have the 4-to-1 mini-PCI to PCI Adaptor w/ RP-TNC Connector Holes version from them on my hardware list.;)

I also found a huge 16-to-1 card when I was looking.

The 2 slot w/ flex cable caught my eye. One laptop with 8 to 10 radios? Build small box to hold the pci cards.

Well shit, the wife just read this over my shoulder and I got that look again.

This whole idea opens up a lot of very interesting options but it's definitely not spouse safe.:D

I looked in the kismet.conf and the kismet-ui.conf files but I didn't see anything. I might have missed it though. I haven't looked at the latest dev version.

There is.. But only for the packetdump file, not for csv/xml/gps files :
dumplimit=x (0 for no limit, else number of packets to dump to file before opening a new packetdump file)

Netgate.com has it without the "small order" tax. $35.00 when I bought it. I got the one without the holes, I'm removing the back anyway.

Cool, you're ahead of me. I was still waiting on my parts to arrive as of last Saturday. I'm out of town this week so I hope it will be waiting on me when I get home. I'm ready to consolidate some of this stuff before our longer trips coming up. So ar, I'm very pleased with the side scanning antennas I added.

For that price, I wouldn't even worry about breaking it.

No kidding. Of course I'd have to paint it black to help avoid prying eyes.;)

Hell, I'd mount them right on the roof! Paint little faces on them. :D Watch the paint, most black paint has metal in it. I found out this the hard way. Waay back when I painted my powerbook, the paint would bubble up on the magnet in the lid.

I didn't know that. Interesting. Cheap black vinyl electric tape might work.
