I had a bit of time getting my Cisco Cards working with NDIS 5.1 since I couldn't find any straight forward instructions to do so.

At one point my PC4800 card worked with Netstumbler but when I had to upgrade the driver on the 340 card to work with Airopeek the PC4800 card stopped working.

Now, with NDIS 5.1, both the PC4800 and 340 card work with Netsumbler. Needless to say, I never had any problems with my Orinoco Gold card.

However, since I switched to the NDIS 5.1 driver, when I start the ACU I get a "you must upgrade your NDIS Driver to use all of the capabilities of this version of ACU!".

I can no longer register to the AP in my office with WEP turned on, using NDIS 5.1. Is this a known issue??? I have not found anything about it in my searches on here or on the Internet.

I'd like to get the Cisco cards to work with WEP but also have them working with Netstumbler.

I will stumble on my way home from work today.

Cheers,
MP

That's what happens when you try using an unsupported card with NS.

Remove all card drivers/programs, and reinstall them, try again..

hey i am having the same issue with the cisco 350 (model AIR-LMC352-RF). it give me the error message "You must upgrade your NDIS driver to use all of the capabilities of this version of ACU!". I noticed when plugging the card into windows xp it installs the microsoft version of the cisco aironet 350 driver. so i unistalled this and updated with the latest firmware, Aironet client utility, and drivers from Cisco's download site (you must have a TAC support login or be a CCIE to access the downloads) and I updated the firware and drivers for the card, but I still get the same problem. the software I downloaded from TAC was the 350-Windows-XP-Bundle-2.1. i still do not see any wireless networks available and i cannot associate with any of them. i opened the cisco site survey software and it seems as if the card isn't receiving any signals there either, but the card is installed.

i am waiting on a callback from cisco tac. as soon as i get the fix i will update it here.
