Still very interested. I went up to Stockton last night and found about 40 just crusing around downtown. There is more likely many, many more.

It appears that the WWWD is slated for June -- 4 months from now. Will be willing to wait that long, but always up for doing something before then.

Was not able to make it up last Friday... but am still quite interested.

If you'd like I'd be happy to send you my logs, if your looking to make a more comprehensive set of maps for NoCal. I have well over 400 points starting at Turlock going up to Tracy.

Let me know.

We have hacker meets once a month, though March was WiFi month, We brought over a crate of predrilled cantenna kits we made at home and had everyone play around with building and figuring out which was the best one. It was quite interesting, also a quick lesson on AP configurations, the do's and don'ts of wardriving... etc. :)

I went to Epcot today, and was walking around thinking "why did I leave my Pocket PC in the car?". The Innovations area had a bunch of Compaq Ipaqs where you could add your info to a mailing list, and a house-of-tomorrow with a number of wireless computers and controls -- good chance they were 802.11b. I won't get back up there for a while, but next time I'm definitely taking the network scanner.
