I'm about 85% sure I'm the only one with a wireless setup.

You would be surprised on how many of your neighbors have AP's in your area! I hit the Warrensville area not too long ago, and was surprised! Take a Drive in the Valley, lot's of nice AP's there.

Enjoy

I run http://www.ohiowardriving.com. I am REALLY looking for stumbling info from norther Ohio. I would appreciate any NS1 files you can throw my way.

Check the web site out. I would really like to turn it into a mecca for war driving in Ohio. I am open to any suggestions anyone may have.

The site is still under construction. I am just getting moved into my new domain. I have a large News section that I update almost daily, which highlights any/all news in the wi-fi community.

Let me know what you think.

Rock. I don't have any stumbling gear at the moment, low on funs & no job = no wardriving. But when I do get another job, I'm gonna pickup a GPS and a Truemobile 1150 (Currently have a D-Link 650+)

Valley View is definitely a hot spot. Tons of big business hanging around there. I'm sure tons of homes have Wi-Fi there. Maybe after x-mas there will be some fresh AP's round here.

Anyone/Everyone!!

I would REALLY appreciate you guys send me your .NS1 files from northern Ohio. I would like to add the info to my site. I will credit you guys with the info.

Also, if anyone is interested in helping with my site, I could use a good contact person for northern Ohio (and the Cinci area for that matter). Someone to sort of be my liason from that part of the state. Pass info to me, etc.

Anyone interested??

Thanks!!

I have some files, if anyone wants to look at them. I went to the Ohiowardriveing site, and all the links seem to go to Yahoo.

OK, I know there are other hams out here on the forums. Have you made the pilgrammage to Dayton, OH for the Hamvention? See http://www.hamvention.org

Well, I have been making it for the past five years and wondering why I didn't go the first eight years I was a ham.. (lack of $$ and interest mostly).

My big question for you folks is, have you stumbled during Hamvention? I usually travel with all the required gear and this time am going to do it while Dayton.

If you've done it already, care to share your results?

It's a month away..plenty of time to make travel arrangements. Hope to see you there.

I'll be heading down! Not sure if I'll be taking the netstumbler gear. I'll be heading down with a group of guys from the local club. I'm located near Toronto, Ontario. It'll be about a 8 hr drive for us.

Should setup a freq for any ham stumblers that are going. Would be fun to meet up with some folks. Finally place a face to the alias :)

Oh man, I just noticed your location. Thats one hell of a ride from RI to Dayton.

14 hr drive

It takes about 14 hours to drive. I flew the first time because it was a business/pleasure trip, drove the past three, but am flying this year. My dad is a ham and is flying in from Dallas to join me. If you have 220 equipment, my father and I will use 223.600 with a tone of 67 and you can chat with us there. It's tough to meet up on the FM calling frequencies 146.52 and 446.00. I'm wondering if there will be any AP's at the Hamvention itself. I suppose I could bring one to setup at a friend's booth.... :)

Sorry don't have 220. The group of guys I go with will be aroun 439.7 with a tone. Not sure yet what freq and tones just yet.

14hr's is a nice long drive. Not as long as I expected.
