Here's a quick tip: read the welcome desk posts. Crossposting is strongly discouraged.

Killeen-Fort Hoody is my turf, you'll find that large portions of it has already been stumbled, and probably not worth your time, wigle.net-wise. However, you are more than welcome to join the Cornhusker Stumbling Assocation on wigle.net when you upload your logs!

Not to start a flame war but how does one know if a new person HAS read the readme's FAQ's, Stickies.. etc? by his post count? heck if he could have joined the forums, and been a lurker doing just that which I believe we like people doing, you know.. reading. His first post was a question about other stumblers in Texas... if he put it in the wrong forum, ok.. I can see that.. but flaming him like that because he asked about other stumblers in a state?

Least he did not ask about WEP cracking like 99% of the n00bs do..

Spend a couple of days reorganizing a particular section of the forum and THEN come back and talk to me about it.

Would love to give it a shot, but not being a mod, can't.

As for dealing with n00b's in general.. I do it for a living. 60 months worh of ISP help desk support (40 of them for Everyone's Internet, where for 10.00 a month any dweeb can get online) 15 SBC dsl support and 5 for a small mom& pop ISP.

I do it on a daily basis, and most of them are engineers and city planners.
