Welcome to the forums... good to see some "locals". I also live off 610. I haven't stumbled the homestead area very much. Usually just from my home to the commuter lot.

My first day of successful stumbling was very interesting. I was slugging home from DC and set my laptop up in the back of this persons car. I was running the default script for audio feedback. Two young ladies in the front were talking and going "What's that noise? What are you doing back there?"

If they only knew... ;)

Still trying

I see this discussion has been dead awhile, but I'm trying to find locals interested in doing a THOROUGH mapping of DC. Any takers?

Sorry for the delayed response, been outta town all weekend. Got some final tweaks to make and won't be available for a couple of weeks but we can get it done. I'll get ahold of you off-line.

Alright, I've got to know who it was...

About a week ago my kids started to go nuts, pointing at one of the cars next to me on Rt 610 in Stafford, VA. Someone in either a pickup or SUV had their laptop on the seat next to them and was running NS. My kids know what it looks like because they love to watch me run it on occasion. So, can anyone here tell me... Who was it!?!?!?!?

Whoever you are, please contact me via PM. I'd like to get together and talk! Thanks.

If I'd known I would have hooked up with you for coffee at Starbucks (actually, I call them Fourbucks).

Anyone coming through this area, give me a heads up. :)

Anyone else out here? I'm in Williamsburg, and am just getting into wardriving (finally got around to buying an orinoco card). Seems there are LOTS of APs around here, seeing as most of WMBG is upper class, which is why I was surprised to see so few on wigle and the like.

I really havent been up to Williamsburg to stumble around there.

I know Va beach is a breeding ground for open wireless networks.
