And what does 2getting wep and wpa codes" have to do with wardriving and netstumbler ? You better head up to the Welcome Desk section right now, and read ALL the posts there.

Hmmm, I sense a great disturbance in the mods. It seems that a n00b spake of an illegality and might become snuffed out in an instance. ;)

It was as though a great number of sphincters suddenly opened and then snapped shut.

I'll be vacationing somewhere in Cornwall in June 06. Probably Helford River area. I really very badly need Internet access during the trip. I'll have access through my T-Mobile Ipaq on GPRS, usable on the laptop via Bluetooth. But that is kinda slow. Is high speed EDGE deployed widely in the UK? Other than Internet Cafes, do I have other options?

I will be bringing a stumbler setup for the rental car.

To be honest, I'm still not sure what EDGE is and I don't think many (if any) people in the UK do either. 3G could work well for you, although coverage is patchy and can be very hit and miss outside of the bigger towns.

I wouldn't rely on internet cafes at all, in fact, I'd be surprised if you saw one. Jiwire could be an expensive way to get online, I think they charge something like £6 an hour.

I don't know what type of accomadation you're going for, but your best bet will probably be to find one that offers you internet access. You might get lucky and find somewhere with WiFi or a phone line in your room, if not, you may have to chat up some old B&B owner to let you use her computer or unplug the phone. I've found these sorts of things can usually be done, especially if you get in contact in advance.

Good luck!
