The old SETI@home Classic project will stop issuing work on December 15, 2005. Anyone still running SETI@home Classic should deactivate it and install SETI@home/BOINC (see instructions under 'Getting started' on this page).
Seti SiteI figured you all might want to read this. I thought I would run Seti again after a long time not doing so and went to the site and found this in the news section. Then I remember we have a group over there as well.
Sorry if this news was already known, I skimmed through the last page on the thread and didn't see any reference (2am right now).

I am switching my 2 machines that run Seti over this weekend and doing some network shuffling, bringing online another machine with that PC-BSD as a workstation
Since its based on BSD 6.0 which according to Berkeley, is mor wifi friendly and it supports ports like BSD as well as its own PSI files (install files like MSI files for m$) I am going to tinker some more. What I need to find is a faster laptop than what I am using for my kismet rig for testing. I want to leave it un-tainted so I have been looking around the pawnshops and such..
I did find a pawnshop that a sale on VOM's for 5 bucks each.. some were decent brands some were cheezy.. but I did get a nice ExTech clamp on digital Ampmeter with a 200 amp max for my tool box (its smaller than the one I had that does 1000 amps) and I got a G.E. A/C analog meter that ranges up to 600 v AC for 5, and a G.E. clamp on ampmeter that ranges from 0-10 (lowest range) to 1000 amps for 5
