Part of the irony of this would be that most of the APs along the highway that runs through the middle of town were secured in some obvious way. WEP/WPA/WPA2 were about 60% of the hits.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Actually, pretty sure it means exactly what I think it does.

The irony of it is this, most people don't secure the AP. Out of nearly 200 APs found, about 120 were secured. Considering the average, how isn't ironic?

Keep in mind, I'm using complete garbage for gear and do know most of you would find a lot more points then I did.

I'm not exactly seeing the irony here. 120 secured out of 200 is pretty good numbers considering just a few years ago, it was less than 20% were secured.

Considering that less then two weeks ago that the situation was the exact opposite of this, I'd say ironic. Not to mention surprising.

Sorry if I wasn't completely clear on the first post, I don't always get all the info out on the first or even second try somedays.

Appreciate the lack of nuclear weapons, though. :D

In an effort to create a little more conversation around here, I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to revive this zombie rather then create a new thread.... With the battery toast on my gateway 600ygr I can't exactly find unique or interesting ssid's for now. But enjoyed reading this... Have any of you found any more interesting ap names since this thread was last posted on?
