Wireless LAN card trouble

Today I installed NetStumbler on my computer (running Windows XP), but immediately thereafter, I experienced some problems with my WLAN card. First, the internet connection was shut down, and when I rebooted, the card was no longer listed in Network Connections.

So far this is much the same as what's been posted in this thread, but in my case, the card isn't even to be found in the Device Manager any more.

I tried Thorn's suggestions in that thread, but with no luck. If anyone could help me to get my card to work again, I'd be tremendously grateful.

You did read the included documentation first, didn't you ? Because NetStumbler was not designed to run while connected to a network.

And as for helping you with getting the network card running, that is going to be difficult, since you have decided to omit the information necessary to do any kind of troubleshooting.
I'll leave it up to you to deduct what kind of information that would be required, in order to help you. If you want some pointers, go read ESR's essay on "How to ask questions the smart way". Google will provide you with a link to that essay.
