Hello,

This has proabably been answered somewhere on this forum, but I feel a bit paranoid and thought I'd ask any way since Im about to shell out some dough for these cards and antennas...

So, the million dollar question is...

Will the following cards allow me to scan in passive mode and inject packets in KisMac?

http://www.wlanparts.com/product/XI-325HPPLUS
http://www.wlanparts.com/product/NL2511CDPLUSEXT2

They are both Prism 2.5 chipset.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe you should ask the kismac guys then. I think there's only 2 or 3 guys here using it. I use the built in airport express card.

Yah. I posted this in the MacOS forum hoping that some mac users could answer some of these questions. The airport extreme card will work in passive mode, but wont let you inject.

I know I'll regret asking, but why do you need a card that is able to inject, so much that you will pay extra for it ?

/checks calendar.... Schoolproject ??

Drivers for a mac? According to the commercials I've been seeing, everything 'just works'.

Funny man! They might just work, they might just cause the computer to kernel panic. I've seen macs do some really cool, and destructive things with unsupported hardware.

He probably does. That's a moot point, however. It's more important that you know this kind of stuff.

Hold on; wait a second. I forgot that Barry, not you, was writing your school project for you. He's a nice chap, but you're right to poke him on such things, otherwise you might have to do some work yourself.

Sorry, I've got to go vomit... The thought of someone working on their own school project was just too much at such an early time in the mornig.
