Is is possible to use an external antenna with a 12.1" (new one) powerbook with an airport extreme (802.11g) card ?

2nd question:Are there any other wireless cards that include drivers for macos X that I can use with a powerbook's pc card slot ?

Not without some modding....

Post some Pix of your setup, including Location Of Wi-Fi card.

You can do it, but you cannot do it while you are running off your battery, this would work if you are WarDriving and you have an inverter or an external battery pack. The Airport extreme card is stored inside the battery compartment under a metal door, remove the battery, flip down the door, unplug the stock antenna connector from the Extreme Card, plug in any standard Orinoco antenna or pigtail and go. It should work fine, it's just that you don't get to use a battery.

Uum, most office supply/"radioshack"/computer store places should happen. Its called a Power Inverter, it allows you to convert 12v DC to 120v/240v AC. The fact that you are in Ireland could make it alittle harder though.

The 12in powerbooks don't have a pc card slot. That's the main reason I won't buy one. Can't get the digital pics in there without one.
