But, I guess we're getting OT here. My bad for going off on a tangent.

Jonny L. Millers Charecter was first called ZeroCool
(At the beginning of the movie when he was 12)
Fastforward to 18 YO, he couldn't use his old handle cause
people would know it was him and bust him, so he used
CrashOverride.

PS: This Phrase was swiped from THORN, Hail Lord Thorn!!!
And as so, is a Thorn (tm) 2003

The Movie Hackers had on 2 good points in it.....
And they were both on A. Jolies chest..

Whoa...

Yes, it really depends on the ISP and the wording of the TOS, which is why I was saying he needs to read it. Some places allow intenal connections, but prohibit sharing with friends and neighbors. For example, some months back, Time-Warner Cable in NYC was cracking down on anyone who was listed as a member of NYCwireless and TWC had confirmed was sharing the cable connection to others. TWC said that those connections violated the TOS. Last I heard the were suing (or perhaps just threatening to sue) some of those people. NYCwireless then found an ISP that said sharing was fine, and encouraged their members to move to that ISP.

Bottom line: Read the TOS. If what you are planning to do violates the TOS, either don't do it, or switch to an ISP which allows it.

Crashoverkill,
One other thing that you have to consider on this is the economics. Counting cables (RF and Cat5), connectors (ditto), antennea, APs, routers, masts, etc., you will be spending something on the order of $500-$1000, plus your time and labor. You have to ask yourself if those cost are worth it, verses a just getting a standard cable lease.

The wireless group in my neck of the woods put together this useful page on the TOS for some of the local providers, it provides a useful reference for interpreting a TOS with regards to wireless.

I would just like to interject a little information on crashoverkill.
He has stolen alot of money from alot of people over the years.

I can assure you that any information that you give him will be used to procreate money from unsuspecting indaviduals. He may call himself a tester but is truly one of the evil people who walk the earth in search of his next victim.

I would urge any law officials viewing this thread to investigate this man.

Calm down skippy. If you the above threads you'll realise that crashoverkill is a fictional character. Just like the bad aliens from E.T; he can't hurt you.

No.....

Somehow you know for a fact that the person who used that nickname here is the exact same person who used the name at the Supra Forums?

Proof please.

Assuming for the moment that you allegations are true, what is your purpose in posting this information? Look at the dates. He hasn't been active here in over 16 months.

So I guess this evil doer has a static IP address? If I were a betting man I'd say that you wound up on the losing side of a flame war with this cat and are looking to smear him a little. No matter, I imagine you may walk yourself into the bin with your spam.

crashoverkill certainly didn't win any friends in this thread, and his motives were questionable at best, but I'm still not sure why a 16 month old thread has been restarted over allegations of larceny on another board.
