It has come to the attention of the members here that this company:

99e99.com

Island Technology Group
PO Box 791443.
Paia, HI 96779

registered to:

Marty Yinzer
PO Box 790654
Paia, HI 96779
215-701-0648
registrar@99e99.com

EbayID: it_group

is selling a "WarServer" on ebay. This is a modified WRT54G kismet drone, based on work done by dragorn, renderman, Joshua Wright, Goldfndr and others. In their advertisements on ebay they state Joshua Wright invented a "hack" to use this on a Windows PC, but credit is not giving to any of the other people who worked on this project.

We urge you NOT to support this company, and to actively decry their efforts to profit of the work of others without acknowledging the time and effort of the contributors.

Should I put a statement over on the CoWF site since we're getting alot of hits over there for the software and project?

Ok, I'm just gonna copy your exact statement to a static HTML, and update the project with the link at the very top.

This guy(s) absolutely CANNOT plead ignorance that he didn't know the origin of the programs.

Look for the member "IT_Group". Yeah. That's right, the guy Render gave advice to when he had difficulty with the install.

Three guesses as to where the email address goes. The first two don't count.

What a goddamn fucking asshole! I hope the fleas of a thousand camels infest his crotch. He should be drawn and quartered. He should be strung up by his fingernails and wrapped tightly in 10lb test fishing line.

Here's a PM I just sent to IT_Group:

You are scum.

http://www.netstumbler.org/showthread.php?t=18192

In the future, you should have the decency to acknowledge that people smarter than you made something for free that you have the gall to sell. At a minumum you should be acknowledging their work, and sending donations of money or equipment to support the work of those people you from whom you are leeching.

In the meantime, we are spreading the word that no one should buy your equipment.

Just noticed something odd.

The area code for Hawaii is not 215, since that's the Philthy area of PA. The area code for Hawaii, I believe is 818.
