The bigger pole mount transformers also make a pretty good light show when they have a catastrophic failure. There have been incidents where they don't just buzz and smoke, they make like a napalm grenade with shrapnel. Downright nasty!

Now you are talking my language!! Love that Sh*t!

Right now? Could you do us a favor and let us know when a good time for you to get negative press is? ;)

Online auction giant eBay shut down the bidding for a vulnerability in Microsoft's Excel spreadsheet program on Thursday, saying that the sale of flaw research violates the site's policy against encouraging illegal activity.

Well, maybe something can be done through Ebay about this guy's auction.

"The listing was immediately reviewed and pulled from the site for violating our policy against promoting illegal activity--hacking."

Can't expect eBay to get it right, either.

The guy selling the "war server" on ebay is probably
Mark Goldberg from Island Technology Group
He has a website that sells similar software called "Blue Box"
http://linksysco.com

Below is part of his install script found at http://linksysco.com/install

# (C) 2006 Island Technology Group, LLC
# All Rights Reserved

box_ver="1.47"

clear
echo
echo
echo "Preparing to install bluebox to your router."
echo
echo "The full version will automatically be installed if you are registered at"
echo "www.linksysco.com. Otherwise the demo version will be installed."
echo
echo "PRESS <ENTER> TO CONTINUE OR POWER OFF THE ROUTER TO ABORT."
read continue_string

This thread is only 11 months old...I don't think anyone's pressed for additional information.
