Kismet MySQL Gpsdrive question.

Okay, so I'm setting up my laptop, Dull C610, running Ubuntu 6.10. I have kismet 2007.01.R1, and gpsdrive 2.09. I have gpsdrive set to look at the way_kismet.txt for mapping. Nothing shows up. If I fire up mysql gpsdrive will run for about 45 seconds and segfault. It just freaking dies, no error messages in the log. If I shut down the mysql server it runs just fine, but with no waypoints showing up. Any ideas?? I have no idea how mysql runs, I just played script kiddy and followed the readme.sql file in gpsdirve.

Barry, catch me on MSN, and I'll either walk you through it, or vnc in, and set it up for you.

When you get it figured out could you post. I am running into almost the very same issue on my Dell D620.

I'm blaming the "Made for Microsoft Windows XP" sticker on it.
