Funny... a brief flurry of posts this morning, but no further followup. Must be he's found the answer to his problems already! Great work forum members!

I'm absolutely certain that the faraday cage she's wearing won't keep anything out.... :D

2) If not, please clarify the problem.

Thanks!

1) Different SSID, shooting into my premisis.
2) I thought I did, ok sorry if I confused you all, here it is once again:

- I own a few locations of coffeeshops where I operate my own hotspot. I advertise and stuff on them as I'm doing pretty good money wise with them.
- I've notices recently that someone is shooting another SSID, on all of my locations, that SSID is the same on all locations, not the same as mine though, this is why I said it's the same person that is doing this. Advertising for someone else, and stealing away my clients.

I hope I cleared it a bit :)

No, same intruding SSID, not the same as mine. For example, If I use "wifitelco" on my locations, I also detect "remote" on all of my locations. Sorry for the confusion.

I would call it jelousy probably. I used to get around 300 sessions a day, that's roughly $200 on wifi only per day. And now, I don't even get 100 sessions just cause of this idiot who's offering this for free, and getting his money from someone else by advertising. Yes, I might do the same in advertising, but seriously though, why change my business model? I've invested in servers, gateways and AAA system. It was working perfect until that idiot showed up!

The idea of a dummy APs is working good, but I wouldn't tell from the usage as of yet until I finish doing all locations .. *sigh*

Sounds like a case of tough shit and get the fuck over it. Someone else advertises AND offers a free service? What a goddamn crime! Fucking baby.
