It's mainly dedicated to Netstumbler, hence the name. We also don't know who's network you're trying to inject packets on.

No, no, no, Thorn]As for Tony, M7 still has him. I hope...[/QUOTE]

Why, of course I still have Tony! However, he's been missing England; drinking all of my good tea and grunting "God Save the Queen". What really pissed him off was when I quit drinking Guiness. I'll call my travel agent and book him on a flight to London today.

Obvioulsy something wrong.

Yes. Yes you did.

Aggabee wrote:But I guess you guys are more interested in covering your own asses than learning something new.

/checks ass. it's covered.

Good to go!

/reads a book on wireless networking. learns something new.

Wow! I've learned something new!

Guess I can do both. No sweat. Keep this kind of snappy banter up, Aggabee, and there'll be a nice guest spot on the WTOTD show for you, chuckles!

You wouldn't believe the year I've had. Some time soon hopefully! As long as Streaker hasn't moved house.

And I thought that you guys, being the network security enthusiasts that you are, and considering that this entire site is DEDICATED TO WIRELESS SECURITY, might want to know. But I guess you guys are more interested in covering your own asses than learning something new.

Tard's OP wrote:So I've recently "stumbled" upon a bunch of new Actiontec hotspots that seem to be completely immune to packet injection. Even with an established client they do not accept injected packets of any kind. Either they reject ARP packets without prior traffic (even on open-authentication) or they reject packets with the same IV. Its kind of wierd that they are still putting effort into securing WEP instead of just switching over to WPA.

Now, let's put these two posts together, and see why they just don't fit.

You claim to have 'stumbled' upon some hotspots. Ok, nothing wrong with that. After all, there isn't anything wrong with passively detecting hotspots.

But then you claim to have attempted to inject packets into those. From your post, you pretty much clearly state that these are not your own hotspots, therefore, you have no fucking business attempting to penetrate them.

You're a fucking clueless asshole. Face it, you should probably be beaten with a tackhammer until dead.

What exactly is an Actiontec hotspot?

What hardware / software were you using?

What steps did you take?

I know what Actiontec hardware is. I was curious about an Actiontec Hotspot. I questioned because I think the OP is confused about the difference between a "hotspot" and a private WLAN.

$75-$200 a bottle at the Duty-Free, eh. But it's not the "Good Stuff" for that you'll have to pay $500+ and smuggle it across the border.

The only movie I've seen this combination in has bad actors singing even worse. I hope your redhead has bigger tits.

If old Marylin Manson gets his way, he'll be selling it in the states. Don't think it's gonna happen though.
