Advertising with a HotSpot?

Trying to set something up for a friend of mine, he owns a coffee shop with free WiFi. He's right next to my college campus, and lots of folks have iPhones, PDA's, etc. with WiFi - the idea is to set up a dummy access point (to leave the wifi network-proper unchanged) and broadcast the SSID. Any further functionality will be worked out later, but we want to automatically rotate the SSID to say "Medium Coffee Free with Bagel" or "Live Show 8PM - Dave Langford" - The other option is to just set up a netbook and some software to spoof an SSID via the wi-fi card on the laptop. I can easily set up an old 802.11 access point/bridge to do this statically, but does anyone know how I might rotate the SSID on a half to hourly basis?

Thanks, couldn't find anything close enough to be helpful elsewhere on the forum.

A WRT with OpenWRT and some very simple scripting could do that very easily.

I think using some Advertising Signs with a hotspot is such a good idea. Just use it wisely.
