Greets!

I recently purchased a laptop, Toshiba Satellite 335CDT. Here's the specs:
233MHz Pentium processor
160MB RAM
3.8 GB HD
Battery lasts about 2h45m
USB and Infrared port along with the general serial/parallel etc.
Floppy & CD drive
2 PCMCIA ports
Currently I'm installing WinXP to it because I had alot of Linux issues with it, I'm planning to run WinXP for the main part and throw in Knoppix and PHLAK when needed. Any experience in using Acer WarpLink USB WLAN devices? I've noticed the vendor-supplied drivers fail under XP, but I hear there's an open-source alternative that works. I'm not sure if it'd even pick up much since it's just a little box with no antenna, so I'm considering buying a better card, most likely PCMCIA with antenna attachment or something.
Most likely won't use a GPS.
