Adapter not present

I just installed Network stumbler for the first time, not having worked a lot with wireless networking before I'm asking this.

My laptop has a Broadcom 802.11g card and when starting network stumbler it seems to be recognized as I can see it under device and pick it. However, I'm getting a "Adapter not present" message and I've got absolutely no idea as to why that is. Since this is the newbie board I figured it would the right place to ask this.

Also, I'm using Windows XP Pro x64 edition. Could that be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

I would guess you haven't bothered to read the "readme" file or figured out how to use the search function at the top of every page.

Search, it has been covered many times.

No, the problem is your failure to read and understand what you're using. You're using unsupported hardware on an unsupported operating system. Get rid of the Broadcum card and get a truely supported card and then MAYBE NS will work under XP Pro 64bit.

Wow, what a great couple of responses to someone asking for help. That will show him! I understand that users not solving their own problems is difficult, but if those are the only kinds of responses you can come up with just keep them to yourselves. It's like your mom told you when you were little "If you can't say anything nice ... don't say anything at all." There's a README file that your both should go back and check.

Really? Bringing back a long dead thread for this? I gave him the correct answer, maybe it wasn't all soft and fuzzy like you would like, but it was the correct answer.

Just so that people don't think I'm all soft and cuddly now, go eat a dick.
