rg 1000 with orinico silver card problems

I have used freebase and rg tool and can not get in to these units says unit name is wrong... Freebase sees unit mac add and ip address but when i attempt to configure the unit it says my password is wrong I HAVE TRIED AVERTHING DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESET THIS PASSWORD OR AM I SCREWED!!!! PLEASE ANY HELP

What does their support site say?

ok i am in with public but will not save any of my info

I am in with freebase but i cant save any of what i changed in profile, changed web changed ssid and loaded keeps going back the way it was what am i doing wrong/

Beats me, that was a pos access point when it was new, about 5 to 7 years ago.

Help starts with you. Do a little research then ask a question. The golden spoon hasn't been seen in a long time. Have you even googled to see if you can find the answer for yourself.

googled the crap out of it and got alot of info, just thought someone in this forum would have some insight?? how would a ac point be related to wifi fourms duh,, if you dont have anything constructive to say dont say it!

You have to flash the firmware for it to work properly. The old firmware was crap. So chill out before you become everyone's newest bitch. Here's a link to a link for an updated firmware.

The last time I checked this said NETSTUMBLER.ORG..... In fact... YEP!!! Still says it.

And after 30 seconds of reading google hits I find this

"There are two buttons on the back of the RG: Reset and Forced Reload. Read the RG Help file carefully before pressing either of these buttons and when you press them, don't hold them down for more than a second. Holding down the Forced Reload button for much longer than that will erase the firmware in the RG, and then you'll be in for a fun time!"

Considering the reset button on most hardware resets it all to factory default it's most likely a safe bet that this will do the same...
